For the past couple of decades I have been passing this house as I walked south along the beach in Duck, North Carolina. On most summer days the humidity builds like a slow cooker until, like clock work, huge cumulus clouds float out to sea at about 4;00. In this painting I have tried to capture the energy and size of these beautiful structures suspended above what seem like tiny houses.
